New Failures and Troubleshooting Manual for the Stone and Tile Industry

Stone and Tile PROS, Inc. announced the publication of a brand new comprehensive reference manual, Dimension Stone and Tile Field Guide: Failures Troubleshooting, Investigation and Analysis Reference Manual.

Debbie Shaw of Stone and Tile PROS says, “This is the must-have manual for anyone that works with stone and tile. A lot of work and effort went into the development of this manual, with rich contributions from many experts.”

The field guide will arm the reader with the tools and information to successfully diagnose failures, including essential forensic testing procedures, charts and illustrations, exhaustive glossary of terms, and current and valuable resources.

Of particular note is the Quick Reference Module Section. Module 1, entitled 40 Common Failures, features up to date, real-world examples of common failures with high res images and how to identify the problem, proven solutions, tips, discussions, and pictorial index. The bonus interactive APP for smart phones and tablets that comes with it will keep the information readily available for the more technologically savvy contractor or professional.

Additional Quick Reference Modules yet to be released include, Wet Area Failures, Countertop Failures, Engineered Stone and Quartz Surfaces Failures, Exterior Failures, Pool and Fountain Failures, Headstones and Monuments Failures, among others.

Fred Hueston, Chief Technical Director for Stone and Tile PROS and Director of Stone Forensics (www.stoneforensics.com), led the development of the manual. “I am very excited about this manual and what it has evolved into. I wished there was something like this for many years. I am very pleased to see it finally come to fruition.”

The reviews from industry experts has already been overwhelming.

David Bonasera of Dave the Marble Guy (www.davethemarbleguy.com) says “I’m very impressed with the wealth of information in this manual. I’ve never seen anything like it for this industry. I will have one on every one of my trucks.”

Dayron Padilla, Certified Stone and Tile Inspector and owner of Perfect Marble Floors says, “This manual is as important as any tool in our shop or trucks. Physicians have their Merck Manual, now stone flooring contractors have their manual.”

“I’ve been in this industry a very long time and I know for a fact that there has never been a resource quite like this until now. Every single stone contractor, architect, and engineer, really anyone that works with stone and tile, should have a copy of the manual. I will be recommending it to every student that comes through our school,” says John Freitag, Director of The Stone and Tile School (www.thestoneandtileschool.com).

The price of the manual is $279.00 but a special introductory price of $229.00 is being offered through the end of July, 2013.To see a preview of the manual or to order, call Stoneandtilepros.com at 877-715-5313 option 1, or visit the website at www.stoneandtilepros.com/backstage.
