Early one morning, on the first day of spring, a lady knocked loudly on her son’s bedroom door, and went in to wake him up, as she had done for many a morning.

“Wake up, son. It’s time to get ready for school!”

The son whined, “But why, Mom? I don’t want to go!”

Mom: “Give me two good reasons why you don’t want to go.”

Son: “Well, the kids hate me for one, and the teachers hate me, too!”

His mom rolled her eyes, “Oh, good grief! That’s no reason to not to go to school, you big baby. Besides, you know that’s not true! Come on now, and get up.” 

Her son was still pouting, and stubborn. “Give me two good reasons why I should go to school.”

Mom: “Well, for one, you’re 52 years old. And for another, you’re the principal!”
