INDEX: May 2014

This month we profile two innovative businesses. Our cover story features Artistic Stone Design, a thriving company operating in the Richmond, Virgina area. Their business strategy and marketing efforts have been so successful for them that larger companies should pay attention: here is someone doing things right.  We also feature BCD Management, and their creative and innovative use of simple technology to solve an age-old problem with wet stone surfaces: slip prevention. We present the incomparable work of master carver Daniel Sinclair as our Profiles in Sculpture this month, and conclude the MIA Pinnacle Awards. We have a lot of good advice to share this month on the value of motivating and training – with thanks to our many special contributors. Send your letters and comments to publisher@slipperyrockgazette.net.  – Larry Hood, Editor
