This finished product is water and stain resistant and holds a LEED certified Materials and Resources credit of 4.1 or 4.2, which has become increasingly important to designers and contractors.

“Recycled products are more in demand than ever,” says Tumpak, “Almost all of our materials are curated with sensitivity to the impact they pose on the environment.”

Although Techno Recycled Glass has been available to the US market since 2010, the hospitality and design industries just recognized ASI’s product last year.

Techno Recycled Glass received the 2013 Award of Excellence in the Applied Finishes and Materials category designed for an environmentally conscious hospitality installation.

It is praised for its contemporary style and translucent effect.

Tumpak says that the award recognition has led to a positive sales impact.

Techno Recycled Glass is ideal for use in restaurant bars, retail shelving, focal walls or hotel vanities.

“Christian Louboutin, the top French shoe designer, is doing an entire store around Techno Recycled Glass, specifically focused on shelving,” says Tumpak.

The Techno Recycled Glass comes in ten different gemstone-inspired color variations ranging from earthy brown to sea green.

Tumpak notes that the lighter colors tend to be more popular, particularly when backlighting is being utilized.
