Omni Cubed New and Improved Transport Cart Line for 2014

Pro-Dollys are often used in pairs (two HD2s can handle tops up to 2,000 pounds!).Stone tool manufacturer Omni Cubed is known for regularly launching new and innovative products for the stone industry, typically several new products per year.

Integrated clamps are on each cart to keep countertops secure. This year is planned to be no exception for the company, as they are kicking off 2014 with FOUR new carts: new models of their all-terrain AT1 and AT2 Pro-Carts, a new model of the low-profile Pro-Dolly called the Pro-Dolly HD1, and an all new low-profile dolly called the Pro-Dolly HD2.

Pro-Cart AT1 (all-terrain cart)At a first glance of this new product line, one notable difference are the new, grey, flat-free, non-marking polyurethane tires – just one of the many features you will find in these carts.

Pro-Cart AT2 (all-terrain cart)To answer the question you may be asking at this point, “Why do they have FOUR different transport carts?”

Each cart has been designed with a unique set of specifications and for different uses.

Overall, the Pro-Dollys are smaller carts that sit very close to the ground, and are often used in pairs for large, tall countertops (two Pro-Dolly HD2s can handle tops weighing up to 2,000 pounds!).

Pro-Cart AT2 folded down for easy storageIn contrast, the Pro-Carts are larger carts that have been designed to sit higher off the ground for increased maneuverability in “all-terrain” situations, such as when there is the need for “popping wheelies” and rolling over curbs, or when the dreaded trip up stairs is required (the Pro-Carts are designed to enable “resting” on stairs to make the process safer and less strenuous for installers).

Pro-Dolly™HD1 (low-profile dolly)Four different carts may seem unnecessary for some manufacturers, but for Omni Cubed, this complete product line exemplifies their focus on making sure the customer has what they need in order to handle every type of install situation they may face.

Features and Benefits

Pro-Dolly™HD2 (low-profile dolly)The Pro-Dolly HD1 (“HD1”) and the Pro-Dolly HD2 (“HD2”) provide easier transport and installation of countertops, and as mentioned above, are especially helpful when used in pairs for very tall, extremely heavy, or extra-large countertops.

These aluminum-framed dollies feature lightweight and compact designs, as well as support rails that are lined with durable rubber to prevent chipping.

Also, countertops are secured with integrated clamps, which is very useful when lifting (the dollies stay attached).

Pro-Dolly™HD2 accommodates tops up to 5 inches thick (large clamp opening). The HD1 weighs only 21 pounds, yet has a rated capacity of 750 pounds (1,500 pounds when used in pairs).

This low-profile dolly (only 5.38˝ from the support rail surface to the ground) allows installers to roll tall tops through doorways.

Pro-Dolly™HD2 features a new, built-in carrying handle. The dolly features 8˝, non-marking, flat-free, closed-cell polyurethane tires which exhibit excellent shock absorption – all the benefits of pneumatic tires without the maintenance requirements.

Fabricators often combine Omni Cubed products (Aqua-Jaw™ Carry Vise ™ and Pro-Dolly™ HD2).The HD2 (Omni Cubed’s most heavy-duty dolly in the “smallest package”) weighs only 35 pounds, yet has a rated capacity of 1,000 pounds (2,000 pounds when used in pairs).

The dolly features the same type of tires as the HD1 (flat-free, closed-cell polyurethane tires), but in a larger 10˝ size.

Unique to the HD2 model is an integrated machined aluminum handle for ease of carrying and placement, and an oversized clamp opening that enables the HD2 to accommodate thicker countertops (up to 5˝ thick), such as tops with miter laminated edges.

The Pro-Cart AT1 (“AT1”) and the Pro-Cart AT2 (“AT2”) are Omni Cubed’s “all-terrain” installation carts which provide a solution to the challenges associated with large and cumbersome countertop installation carts.

The carts are constructed from aluminum tubing, so they are very strong and lightweight; the AT1 weighs less than 50 pounds and the AT2 weighs less than 65 pounds.

Important for climbing stairs, the carts stay attached to the countertops when lifted and the casters allow resting on stair treads.

The non-marking, flat-free, closed-cell polyurethane tires dampen vibrations and enable travel across rough terrain such as gravel or lawns with ease.

The carts’ high ground-clearance allows you to “pop wheelies” over larger curbs, and in many cases, one person can operate the carts by themselves.

Tops are secured by clamps located on each side of the cutout to reduce breakage in the middle.

The wheelbase on both carts is wide enough to make the carts very stable, but they still fit on truck ramps and enable maneuvering through very tight spaces.

Both carts are also designed to fold down for easier storage. The AT1 has a rated weight capacity of 750 pounds and features 8˝ casters; the AT2 has a rated weight capacity of 1,000 pounds and features 10˝ casters.

The AT2 has a few additional features, such as collapsible clamp uprights for easy countertop removal and tilting of large stone pieces onto cabinets.

In addition, climbing stairs with the AT2 is even easier due to the innovative adjustable wheel base: the distance between the cart’s front and back wheels has 4˝ of sliding adjustment to match the varying pitch of stair treads.

For ease of storage and sliding down the center of A-frames, the included folding kit (along with the collapsible uprights) enables folding of the AT2 into a very compact design and reduces cart width to less than 13 inches wide.

In conclusion and as exemplified by this new cart line-up, Omni Cubed is passionate about providing detailed, complete, and innovative product lines, so that fabricators are fully equipped to select what is best suited for their business needs.

As part of this goal, the company now offers a more complete transport cart system and shops should have no trouble finding the right cart to complete their “essential tools for 2014” collection.
