Pittsburgh Steel Co. Introduces Pre-Fabricated Steel Brackets for Highbar Installation

For the past ten years Kris Werner has worked in the Natural stone countertop industry and has developed a product to save his fellow fabricators prep and installation time.

There are numerous techniques and various different methods to install highbars: everything from "multi- purpose" thinset, to "twopart epoxies." These will all get the job done. However; both methods come with their own pros and cons.

Using cement in remodeled homes will require twice the amount of prep time and twice the amount of cleanup time. Two-part epoxies aren't nearly as messy, yet they require dead-on accuracy as the adhesive kicks off. Otherwise, it ends up creating twice as much work. The common denominator in these products is "time consumption."

Kris Werner and Pittsburgh Steel Company have come up with a simple piece of fabrication hardware that cuts down on prep and install time. The products are a 10 x 3 and a 12 x 3 inch cold-forged steel bracket with 4 countersunk holes. The brackets are sold ready to install, with a sanded finish, painted jet black to be unobtrusive with almost any granite install. From the box to the knee wall - it's that simple.

Every installation company in the work field looks for a high turnover rate. These brackets can shave two hours off each install, which saves time and increases profit.

Until January 1st, 2010, the Pittsburgh Steel Company is offering free shipping on the bracket at a low introduction price, to help introduce this time-saving installation product.
