The Hunter Kirkland Gallery of Santa Fe, New Mexico is proud to present "Abstract Realm," an exhibition of new work by California sculptor T Barny.
The opening reception was Friday, September 10th from 5:00-7:00pm at Hunter Kirkland, located at 200 Canyon Road in Santa Fe. The exhibition will continue throughout the month of October 2010.
Hunter Kirkland invites you to meet the artist and enjoy the "visual world" of T Barny. Abstract Realm is a sculpture exhibit that emphasizes T Barny's motto: Abstraction is his fascination. Power tools are his forte.
T Barny has shown his work in Santa Fe for the past 20 years and it is an honor to be hosting his annual reception at Hunter Kirkland. A new mobius design; a trademark T Barny shape, will be on display in a beautiful Alabaster stone. This mobius strip sculpture is fascinating. T Barny states, "The mobius challenges us to question what we are seeing. It has one edge and one surface. If you trace the edge of any piece you will always return to the starting point without lifting your finger."
T Barny has shown in over 300 shows in the past 30 years. His professional sculpting career has spanned decades and his pieces hold prestigious placement in collections internationally. His studio is in the heart of the California Wine Country. The art reception will feature the California wine of Alexander Valley Vineyards from Healdsburg, California.
