Braxton-Bragg is offering the power of a fresh start to fabricators with the new Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover, developed to give a clean slate for new treatments.
The ultimate product to remove all penetrating stone impregnators, sealers, or enhancers, Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover requires no scrubbing. It is strong enough to remove the best stone treatments and is optimal for restoration projects as it can be used to effectively strip new, uneven, or old treatments.
“It removes both penetrating enhancers and sealers from natural stone by using an easy-to-apply method that works with water to activate it,” said Andrew Landis, sales manager for InnoChem LLC, a member of The AKEMI Group. “It can remove both solid-based and water-based impregnators and enhancers. It provides excellent cover up to 200 square feet per liter.”
Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover is in a class by itself and has no real equivalent in the marketplace, Landis said. “There are strippers, but they need to be neutralized. There are a lot of details to that. It is easy to use and cleaned up by water.”
The product will serve to remove Akemi stone impregnation products and enhancers as well as those of competing manufacturers, Landis said, although it is not designed to remove topical products. “Akemi Wax Stripper is recommended for any topical enhancer or sealer.”
Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover has a three-year shelf life and is biodegradable. It is a concentrated, highly alkaline cleaning agent, Landis said.
It can remove enhancing products such as agers and darkeners that did not give the desired enhancing effect. It can remove all deep-penetrating products. The only tool required is a brush to remove the product from the stone surfaces when the stripping process is complete.
Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover is designed to remove stains caused by impregnations and lacquer residue on natural stone, concrete, ashlar, and clinker.
Because of its gel-like consistency, the remover is suitable for horizontal surfaces such as floors and table tops and vertical surfaces such as façades and wall coverings. Akemi Stone Impregnation Remover is not for use on marble, limestone, or artificial stone.
Braxton-Bragg offers a full range of fabrication tooling and installation accessories including sinks, installation hardware, and every tool and piece of equipment needed to run a professional stone, tile, and polished concrete shop.
